Inspired by our love of food, cooking, and of course, eating. We visit culinary establishments and check out the local grub. Restaurants, diners, dives, carts, delis, trucks, mom and pop shops, hole in the walls, and unique joints are all game. We also love to get down and dirty in the kitchen. We promise to share our experiences and our own tasty creations. And we absolutely, absolutely love to photograph the food we are eating.

The burger renaissance is alive and well in Toronto.  There can never be too many burger joints.  rather peckish is crazy for burgers.  We just love them!   Holy Chuck is new and was discovered on an attempt to walk way North from way South.  The burgers are cooked on a flat top (what we like to call american style) similar to Five Guys Burgers and The Burger's Priest. We ordered their signature burger, The Holy Chuck (double cheeseburger with bacon and caramelized onions). We did not disturb the delicate balance of flavours by adding other toppings as suggested by management. The burgers were juicy and tasty but a little salty. We opted for the fries and sweet potato chips as sides. The fries were better than the chips. They had our favourite soda; Boylan's Black Cherry Cola.  It will have many cameos on rather peckish.

rather peckish absolutely loves burgers.  If you have any suggestions or recommendations, please don't be shy.  Post a comment or send us an email.
